Senior School
The Senior School strives to provide a supportive environment that challenges each student's academic potential while enhancing self-esteem and personal development. It is the intention of the Senior School to provide an atmosphere where each student can attain an international perspective and sensitivity to cultures other than their own.
The Senior School course of studies is standards-based and delineates what each student should accomplish after completing each subject taken. The programs emphasize:
- strong foundation in academic skills;
- inquiry;
- reflective thinking.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 6-10 and the Diploma Programme (DP) Grades 11 and 12, are authorized by the International Baccalaureate. Both programs are based on the premise that for students to become fully informed, contributive citizens of an increasingly globalized world, schools must teach them to be excellent communicators, to be aware of multiple cultures, including their own, and to make connections between their learning and their lives.
