Qatar Academy students participate in a workshop at the Museum of Islamic Art

In the context of strengthening the technical skills of students the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar invited the students of Qatar Academy to participate in a workshop at the educational Center of the museum.

The seventh grade students were shown a video about the museum and its divisions, contents of sculptures and pieces of jewelry and talking about different periods of the Islamic era. Lecturer, Ms. Malka Al Kuwari gave an explanation about the design of the museum supported by picture. The principle of repetition in Islamic art was the subject of the workshop and a large number can be viewed of existing models in the museum, which is illustrated by the technique.

After training students on the application of this art through the use of the Photoshop program, students made models of wonderful works.
