Primary Years Programme
Qatar Academy aims to create an atmosphere of exploration and discovery throughout the learning environment. From our classrooms to our corridors and staffrooms, students, parents and faculty are encouraged to challenge themselves and their thinking through the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme. This learning environment is often extended beyond the classroom walls and involves the wider community, supporting connections that are made in the real world. By using the framework of the PYP, we aim to foster a culture of life-long learners and critical thinkers, in line with our mission statement.
Qatar Academy continually reviews and develops its Programme of Inquiry (POI) through ongoing reflection. This continual reflection becomes an expectation of the students in and around their classrooms and contributes to the dynamic nature of program units. Qatar Academy also strives to include the culture of our host country within these units.Curriculum Documents
